Indian Creek celebrated educational excellence by welcoming 22 new members into its chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) on Tuesday, November 14.

NHS officers, members, and inductees gathered in the Jack and Nancy Becker Center for the Performing Arts together with family and friends to take the society's oath. Chapter President Hailey Hochard '24 led the new members in a pledge, while Hochard, and fellow officers Beth Christie '24, Bennett Bucci '24, and Maddie Mixter '24 shared the importance of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Head of School Booth Kyle congratulated the scholars up for induction, reminding them that it takes more than academic
success to be selected for membership. He shared that the students are joining a league of esteemed ICS alumni who are now out making their mark on the world. Assistant Academic Dean Tricia Roth reminded the students that while academic success is important, it is only a part of how success should be defined, while Upper School Principal Eliza McLaren invited the students to take words of inspiration with them everywhere they go.

After taking the official membership oath and signing the ICS chapter log, NHS gained 22 new members.  Congratulations to seniors Noah Smarowsky and Jacob Stone, and juniors Isabella HàVi Albert, Naima Bead, Jake Berry, Abbey Bunker, Julia Flint, Sophie Geismar, Arabelle Gemmell, Irene Goldstein, Sydney Griffin, Andrew Harris, Bella John, Joelle Johnson, Everest Judge, Morgan Kay, Liya Mister, Isabelle Murphy, Sophia O’Connell, Kat Rini, James Stubbs, and Maisie White.
